Race and Representation
The first black and white kiss on British television was between a Jamaican woman and an Anglo-English man in Emergency—Ward 10 in 1964.
The first black and white kiss on American television was between an African-American man and an Anglo-American woman in Movin’ with Nancy in 1967.
The first black and white kiss on Australian television was (probably) between an African-American woman and Anglo-Canadian man in Star Trek in 1969. The first black and white kiss scripted for and performed on Australian television was between an African-American man and Anglo-Australian woman in Number 96 in 1972.
I’m not sure anyone knows when the first interracial kiss on television was. What are the codes by which we determine race?

Twice I’ve been asked recently why characters in anime (specifically, by Miyazaki) look Anglo. The characters have big eyes and white skin. But Anglos are no more white than the Japanese, nor do they have eyes like those drawn—which follow Tezuka in being drawn too large to better express emotion.
Why do you think the Simpsons are white?
