But while Big Brother may frame David in terms of his past heterosexual relationship and the possibility of future ones, it did also provide a safe space for him to come out, and a platform for him to hug and kiss his boyfriend in front of a million Australians. I wish I’d seen that, but I only managed to catch the first half of last night’s Eviction Show.

It was fantastic television, and Gretel’s approach to interviewing David was both sensitive and supportive (also nice to see that they’re Belinda Carlisle fans :-/ ).
