On the moon, on a little plaque, left by the astronauts of the Apollo 11 landing, is engraved the name of a man. In countless alternatives of the universe where humankind managed to destroy itself before migrating into space, this is the sole remaining artefact, the single clue in the universe to indicate that humankind was ever in it. The name on the plaque is Richard M Nixon.
