Doctor Who
It shocks and dismays me that I found out from friends that a new series of Doctor Who has been greenlighted. It concerns me even more that the news originally broke in Britain’s Daily Telegraph. Fandom is losing its touch.
Check Outpost Gallifrey for a roundup of and all updates to the news. A permanent link to the announcement at the BBC. All we know for now: We won’t see anything till 2005; it’s being written and exec produced by Russell T Davies.
This is fantastic news. Russell is known worldwide for his acclaimed series Queer As Folk, but he’s also a star of the New Adventures, writing the Doctor Who novel Damaged Goods - featuring cocaine, Thatcher, housing estates, gay beats, dimensionally transcendental machine remnants of a war against vampires, Time Lord politics and a psychic conspiracy. Yeah!

Have I commented on the picture of you wrapped in a rainbow flag? I’m sure that I meant to.

Eddie Izzard is a perennial nomination for “new Doctor” and Tom Baker is known for taking the piss. In terms of timelines, Davies has three other projects to finish before he gets to DW.
Rich: I ask myself this question too.
Alan: No, you haven’t. Funnily enough, someone else commented privately and I’ve been thinking about writing something on the topic. But, Liberty Hall.

Absolutely.
